You've been waiting for an event for months and with just a few days away, you prepared everything you need. Then all of a sudden, here comes a visitor that will ruin everything. A ZIT. Raise your hand if this happened to you at least once in your life. Or if you haven't experienced this, then you're lucky *insert bitter here*.  Hehe. You're really lucky if you've never ever as in ever experienced having a zit.

If you are a girl with occasional pimple-popping-out moment and  want to get rid of those unwanted zits on your face and shorten your agony,  please keep on reading. I will share with you some zit busters that you can use to remove those unwanted visitors.

These are products that I've tried and tested.

#1 QUICK FX : PIMPLE ERASER.

IN MY OPINION : Yes, it worked and helped me a bit in drying my pimple. However, you'll have to wait for about 4-7 days before it can actually clear it out. This product also promised to diminish and reduce dark spots due to scarring but in my case, it didn't lighten my pimple mark. You have to apply this product twice a day, in the morning and at night.

2 things that I don't like much about this product is the texture and smell of it, because it reminds me of Sebo De Macho. Which I think makes sense because Sebo De Macho is used to lighten up our scars right? So they probably have the same ingredients? I'm not sure. 

One sachet of QUICK FX PIMPLE ERASER(10g) costs less than a hundred pesos. It is worth it, if you ask me. If you are not in a hurry to dry out your zits, I recommend you try this one.

#2 The Body Shop's TEA TREE OIL

IN MY OPINION : It is effective in drying up your pimples, especially the BIG RED ONES. You just have to apply this twice a day as well, and it will dry up your pimples. When I used this product, it dried up my zit in about 3-4 days which is a little faster compared to the first product.

I am also not very fond of the smell of this .  

I am so lucky to have bought this one on SALE. I got it for 200+  pesos at The Body Shop MegaMall. I think the original price of this is around 400-500. I'm not really sure but if you know the ORIGINAL PRICE of this product, please feel free to let us know on the comments below.

#3 Garnier Pure Active

IN MY OPINION : This product is really effective. Not only because it helps you get rid of pimple, it also helps you in preventing it. I highly recommend you use this product if you have an emerging pimple or if you have breakouts. 

This product is endorsed by the gorgeous, Georgina Wilson. 

Just a random question, if this product can positively and will absolutely make you look like Georgina Wilson after using it for weeks, will you buy it?

The facial wash has beads which can help clean your skin thoroughly. Okayy, again, I  don't like the smell of this but since it prevents me from having breakouts, I will just ignore the smell. 

Is this worth it? For me , yes, it is because I can really see some changes with my face. A 50ml Garnier Pure Active costs around 70-90php. You can wash your entire face with a tiny bit. So a 50ml goes a loooooooong way. 

#4 Bench's Acnedot

For the sake of those who doesn't know, Bench not only offers RTWs and fashion accessories. They also have beauty products that are OH SO AMAZING. Acnedot was introduced to me by my fellow TFL blogger, Carol. 

IN MY OPINION : This is probably the easiest one to use out of all the products I listed here because you only need to pull it off from the plastic and stick it on to your pimple. You can only use this if you have an emerging/existing pimple on your face.

You can use this after washing your face at night and leave it until the next morning. It will dry up your zits easily. The only thing that I don't like about this is that sometimes it easily falls off and it's not sticky enough to stay on your face. 

Overall, I recommend this product because it's easy to use and it is very effective for those stubborn zits.

It comes in 8 pieces per sachet. I only have 4 here because my brother used the other four.

One sachet of Acnedot costs around 20-30php.

These are usually placed by the cash register. You can ask the cashier if they have one, most of the time they are sold out. I am actually very impressed with their skin care line because they are very effective.

But I think the most effective thing to remove those unwanted zits is to take good care of your skin, prevention is better than cure right? Although, I know that there are cases that they can't really prevent zits because of their blood or other reasons. But in case that you can, please do your skin a favor =) Your skin is worth the time.

Since the beginning of civilization, man has always considered scent as an important indicator of the quality and wellbeing of the things around him. Scent is used to determine if food is already spoiled and if a fruit or vegetable is ready to be eaten.

But scent can also reflect an individual’s personal hygiene practices. People who have bad odor are perceived by society as dirty and in some cases even disgusting. That’s why a lot of people are so keen on how they smell, especially in public.

Perfume is the most obvious way to achieve a pleasant scent without doing much effort. But since perfume is derived from essential oils which are very hard to produce, not everyone can afford to buy it. But don’t despair; there are alternatives that we can try to still smell good without spending too much. Here are some of them.

Over the Counter Colognes and Sprays. These kinds of scents are the easiest to find since they can be bought from drug stores and supermarkets. They usually come in plastic bottles and are marketed as scents for everyday use.

The scents of these products are quite short-lived; lasting only for about a few minutes to a couple of hours after application an implication of its very affordable price. So unless you want a longer lasting way to smell good, you might want to try something else.

Boutique Made Perfume. Nowadays, boutiques also offer perfumes to their customers. Fashion labels like Bench, Folded and Hung and Penshoppe are some brands that offer their own line of perfumes and colognes.

Perfumes bought from these stores are usually more potent compared to over the counter products. After application, their scent can last up to a few hours depending on the brand and the product.

And unlike over the counter perfumes, those that are distributed by boutiques can target multiple consumer groups. Packaging for example is better. They are more presentable as some of them come in fancy glass bottles with atomizers.

Perfume Bars. Perfume bars are also gaining popularity among thrift shoppers. They are very accessible mostly found on popular shopping malls and offer scents inspired by branded perfumes like Lacoste, Dolce &  Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and Armani.

They also have a higher concentration of essential oils compared to over the counter products. They also usually give rewards to returning customers and offer customers an option to refill their perfume bottles at a discounted price.

Class A Alternatives. Class A perfumes otherwise known (at least locally) as Singapore perfumes are basically toned down version of branded original perfumes as they are practically made out of the same stuff, the only difference is that the amount of ingredients used in these types of perfumes are less compared to the originals, so their lasting effect is also not as good as the real ones.

Packaging is also almost identical to the real thing. However, since this type of perfume are basically knock offs, they aren’t usually sold in malls or shopping centers. Instead, they are commonly found on online stores and online wholesalers.

Scent per Cents. Scent per cents have been around for quite some time already. They are usually found in small kiosks inside malls and sell original perfumes on a per milliliter basis. This type of marketing allows consumers to experience all the perks of using an original perfume without having to spend too much.

They also offer a wide range of scents for buyers to choose from. Prize wise, each milliliter of perfume would cost around 40 pesos or higher depending on the brand.

Smelling sweet doesn’t always mean having to spend thousands on expensive perfume and beauty products. By just being thrifty and practical, people like us, who aren’t blessed with unlimited source of income, will always have ways to make ends meet. And perfumes are no exception. Sunglasses is one of the most visible fashion must have not only during summer time but all year round. And I must admit that wearing sunglasses boost your confidence and it brings out the “Matrix” in you.  You somewhat feel like you are in an action movie or something. 

Anyhoo, it is not enough that you go to the mall and purchase those sunglasses you like. You need to check first if it works for the shape of your face or not.  Sunglasses that look good on other people may not work for you.  So what do we do?

How to pick the right sunglasses :

1. Let’s start by knowing what kind of face shape we have. Round, Oblong, Oval, Heart, Triangle and Square, are the different face shapes. And it is very important that you know, what the shape of your face is. And of course, use the mirror that is usually placed near the rack of sunglasses. They are there for a reason, and that is to check if you are wearing the perfect one.

a.       Round - They usually have cheeks that are full, so go for sunglasses that are semi-rimless or those that are rectangular in shape because it can complement the upper part of your face. You have to work with sunglasses that can help your face look thinner and can show the few angles that your face have.

b.    Oval – This is the face shape that can practically go with any sunglasses. If you have this shape for your face then you will not have to worry much because any frame can actually work well with it. 

c.      Oblong – They usually have longer faces and what they need to do is to have sunglasses that will help their face look shorter and wider. Usually, round or square frames that are broad will work for them.

d.   Heart – People with this face shape should go for sunglasses that will make their face balanced. Sunglasses that are narrow with rounded frames will help out in balancing the upper and lower part of the face.

e.     Triangle – People with this kind of face shape usually have narrow foreheads, so they should go for sunglasses that have straight top line to balance their jawline. They can also try those that are rimless.

2. Pick the right color – Just like with our garments, we also need to pick the right sunglasses color for us.  

3.Check the material used – We use sunglasses for our eyes not only because we want to look stylish, we wear this because we also want to protect our eyes. It is very important your sunglasses protect your eyes from the harm UVB and UVA Rays, check how many percent of the UVB And UVA Rays can the sunglasses block. By checking the materials, you can also what type of lens was used; we don’t want our sunglasses to be easily scratched.

4. Check the fit – make sure that it fits! Sometimes we don’t notice that when we’re buying it and realized it once you are already wearing it!
