Last May 26 and 27, 2012,MEG opened the door to hundreds of aspiring young women to become their very first MEG Brand Ambassador. MEG's looking for  fresh faces that can conquer different areas of style and these women should prove that they have what it takes to be the very first MEG Style Ambassador.

SM Mega Mall Event Center was packed with aspiring contestants who tried their luck. Some were nervous, some were confident. How did I know? I was there! Was I one of the aspiring contestant? Just hop on to my personal blog(Phipay Takes The Stage) after reading this post and see my future post about this to answer your question. Haha! Moving on, I think every single girl who went to the auditions were deserving. I mean, by having the guts to go there and try their luck? They should be proud of themselves for being brave and for believing in themselves that they could be that girl. But of course, at the end of the day, there can only be one Style Ambassador that will emerge.

Okayyyy, on to the auditions. Please forgive me for the not-so-high-quality photos. Mejo vintage na yung Sony camera ko e(Anyone wants to sponsor me a camera?Hehe)

Meg Magazine 2012 March Issue plus a photo of themselves were given as a freebie to the contestants after the whole process.

Lights, Camera, Action! Chos.

Girls are waiting for their turn to enter the Audition Area.

There were different booths inside the Audition Area. The first one they needed to go to was the Registration Booth. Some were already Pre-Registered on IamMeg.com.ph so they just need to tell their names and they will be given forms to fill out. Walk Ins would have to go to the other side but it was almost the same process.

2006's Winner, Aya, who happens to be a High School Batchmate :)
Other winners' photos were displayed on the area as well.

The next booth they needed to go to was the SM Accessories Booth, where they can borrow a few pieces of jewelry that they can use for the VTR and Photo Booth. John Robert Powers Booth was the next, a representative from JRP will talk to you and give you some tips on how you can express yourself more in front of the camera.

The MakeOver Booth. The aspiring contestants were treated to a free makeover courtesy of  Clinique and their oh so gorgeous Makeup Artists, they are the ones who did every girls make up. Imagine hundreds of girls in 2 days, I salute them for being enthusiastic all day long.

People watching. They multiplied came Lunch Time.

Next to the MakeOver Booth, is the VTR Area, where there were judges who will interview each contestant. I bet some of the girls where nervous because it was there first time to join.

They put on Lapel Mic on each contestant.

The last part of the audition was the Photo Booth where in each contestant will pose 3 times,1st was with a smile, 2nd was with a straight face and third was with a white board, and on this white board the contestants wrote the one word that will describe them. They will also get the photo afterwards as a freebie together with a Meg March Issue, just like what I said.

Top 100 has been chosen, now they are down to Top 30. On June 21, 2012,Meg will announce the Top 12 that will be on the official IamMeg TV Show which will be hosted by the Soon-To-Be-Bride Miss Patty Laurel.

Visit IamMeg.com.ph to know who are the 12 lucky ladies who will be on the show.

I'd love to know, did you auditioned for IamMeg? Or you have a friend who joined? Or you just want to say anything, please leave a comment below :)

They say that if it’s summer, less is more when we do our makeup. As much as possible, let’s stay away from dark eye shadows and heavy makeup. Instead, let’s try very light makeup and go for that sun kissed look!

I listed some random products below that you can use to help you achieve our sun kissed look. This can help cut your makeup time in half and be ready for summer.

1.           Concealer -  If you have imperfections that you need to cover especially your dark under eye circles, use concealer to hide them. There are concealers with very light coverage that you can use.

2.       Moisturizer with SPF – Moisturizer with SPF are very good for our face since it can protect us from the sun.  It is also better if you use tinted moisturizers since it can double as your foundation/face powder. They can also make your face look flawless and natural.

Olay Anti Aging Cream with Touch of Foundation

CLINIQUE Tinted Moisturizer

3.       Waterproof Mascara – Use clear mascara on your lashes to open up your eyes. Since it is clear, you will not worry about it melting.

4.       Bronzer - Applying bronzer on your face will be good way to fake that tan and give you an instant sun kissed look.

Bronzers

5.       Lip Balm/Lip Tint – Since Haring Araw is hotter in summer, we need to keep our lips protected by using lip balm with SPF and/or lip tint.  Aside from protection, it is like a finishing touch to our sun kissed look.

Lip Stain by Elf

If you think you need more than these, feel free to add more! Add a bright eye shadow or a peachy blush on to your cheeks. But keep in mind that we want to look fresh and sun kissed!

Lots of love this summer for y'all,
Phipay <3
