of Haagen-Dazs. Unfortunately, the premium chain of ice cream stores has
already left the country due to challenging
business conditions. So is the dream and experience of having a fancy ice
cream or ice cream inspired dishes all but just a dream?
Luckily, there are quite a few alternatives you can try out
that are just as delicious and even at time more affordable than Haagen Dazs.
One option you might want to check out is Caramia Gelateria.
Caramia Gelateria can be considered as a subsidiary or a
sister company of the Amici chain of restaurants which is a very popular food
chain for quality Italian cuisine. The name of the restaurant comes from the Italian
word Cara Mia which means “my dear”.
The flagship store of the ice cream parlor chain was first opened in May 2009
at Missouri Street in Greenhills, San Juan.
The food chain’s specialty is of course as the name implies
are gelato and gelato-inspired products. Gelato which is popularly known as the
Italian ice cream is usually the main ingredient of most of their dishes and
baked goods which include affogatos, gelato cakes and shakes.
